What do I need?

iPhone with iOS 16+, an Obsidian vault stored in iCloud Drive, and an Anthropic API key with API credit available. Import the shortcut, add your key and choose your vault folder using the included setup guide.

How much does each note cost?

Estimated at $0.01-0.03 via Claude's API. Actual cost depends on the content length and model pricing. Anthropic bills your API account separately; API usage is not included in the $5 purchase.

Are taxes included in the $5 price?

No. The price is $5 USD plus applicable taxes. Lemon Squeezy calculates any tax at checkout before you pay.

Does it work with Obsidian Sync (paid)?

Petrify saves to iCloud Drive. If your vault uses Obsidian's paid Sync, you'll need to move files manually or switch to iCloud Sync.

Can I use it on iPad or Mac?

Yes. The shortcut works on any Apple device with Shortcuts. On Mac it appears in the Share menu.

How are my API key and content processed?

Your key is saved in your shortcut and sent over HTTPS to Petrify's Cloudflare Worker for each request. The worker uses it to call Anthropic. Petrify uses Jina Reader to retrieve linked pages and sends extracted content to Anthropic to generate the note. Your Obsidian vault is not uploaded.

What AI model does it use?

Claude Sonnet 4.6 formats the extracted content into a structured note.
